This large co-educational school is now seeking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher to teach up to A-level with some timetabled ICT, ideally the candidate will have a background in Economics but this is not essential.
An average proportion of students come from minority ethnic groups and are eligible for free school meals.
This school is multi-ethnic with an average proportion of its students eligible for free school meals, which in the most recent Ofsted, displayed a number of outstanding features. The schools leaders and all staff ensure that each student is given every opportunity, encouragement and support to do as well as they can. The school has a strong sense of community spirit and as a result the students enjoy their experience of the school and make very good progress.
Teaching and learning are good with some outstanding teachers. The leadership and management are good and achievement among students is also very good and attainment standards are in line with the National Average in years 11 and 13. The school also provides excellent care guidance and support especially for the students with additional learning needs.
Students apply the school rules very well and behaviour is good around the school in lessons. There is a minority of challenging students but little bullying or racism. Attendance is also good because absence is followed up rigourously – it is also low because students enjoy being at school – students arrive promptly to lessons and only a small minority has problems with lateness.
If you like the sound of this school and would like the opportunity to teach in this type of environment then DO NOT DELAY!
